MARCIA PATRICE GANELES

Haven with the Goddess?
Your Inner Goddess isn’t a myth—she’s within you, ready to guide and strengthen you. She’s your sanctuary in hard times, your anchor when life feels overwhelming, and your source of resilience when you want to grow. Have you connected with your Inner Goddess? Men also carry this wise, nurturing aspect.
I’m Marcia, your guide and creativity coach. I support you to inhabit your Inner Sanctuary, ignite your inner light, and connect with your unique Goddess Within. Through Havening Techniques® and other gentle, somatic practices, I co-regulate with others on a trauma healing path —helping you find and embody moments of connection, presence, calm, strength, and self-acceptance.
In addition to my practice as a Certified Havening Practitioner & Creativity & Trauma-Informed Coach, I am the Lead Mentor with Dr. Aimie Apigian in her Biology of Trauma and Mind Body Biology Institute programs. I mentor participants and train other mentors, facilitate groups of up to several hundred participants, and host Nervous System Regulation Rooms, Somatic & Parts Drop-In Sessions, and 1:1 Private Coaching. I also lead Creativity Workshops like Rock Painting and Vision Boards to help people explore self-expression as a pathway to healing and let’s face it — to have fun!
Several times a year, I collaborate with Dr. Aimie in her renowned 21-Day Journey and Introduction to All Parts of Me (APOM) Foundational Journey course. While I welcome people from all backgrounds and modalities, Dr. Aimie’s Foundational Journey provides a rich, accessible framework for learning simple, practical tools to shift your nervous system state. Her somatic and parts practices blend beautifully with my Havening work, creating a uniquely supportive and transformative experience.
My own healing path has included early childhood attachment trauma, chronic illness including many surgeries, cancer, anxiety, depression, and more. Over decades of seeking and working with Remarkable Men (& Women) including Gurdjieff, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Don Miguel Ruiz, I’ve learned to create new, life-giving experiences and connect with my Inner Sanctuary—and I believe you can learn to do this too.
If you’re ready to embody your Inner Goddess and live from your Core Strength — your most authentic, empowered self — I would be honored to walk beside you on your sacred journey.

ABOUT
HAVENING TECHNIQUES®
"Havening Techniques® engage our inherent biological systems to permanently heal, strengthen and empower our minds and bodies." - Dr. Ronald Ruden, MD, PhD, Co-Founder of Havening Techniques
Haven - a Safe Harbor. Havening Techniques are a gentle psychosensory modality that generate delta brain waves—the slow, restorative brain waves we normally experience during deep sleep and practices like Yoga Nidra. These waves help reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) and increase dopamine, oxytocin (the bonding hormone), serotonin, GABA, and endorphins. Together, these chemical shifts down-regulate the nervous system, bringing the body into a state of calm and connection.
Combining Havening with playful brain distractions and imagination can create powerful states of regultion that open the door to creativity and self-discovery—while offering the opportunity to resolve issues that may have felt stuck for years.
Havening harnesses the power of neuroplasticity to help us move beyond past trauma, experience more peace in the present, and reclaim our future. By pruning old neural pathways that keep us in fight, flight, or freeze, and creating new pathways of safety and resilience, Havening helps us become our own safe haven.
A few Q&A from the Havening.org website
What is Havening? Havening is a psychosensory technique that involves touch, attention, and imagination in order to engender healing and positive change in individuals.
How does Havening work? Havening works by triggering the delta waves in our brains through touch, attention, and imagination, which helps to discharge and alter the way traumas and negative emotions are stored.
Is Havening safe? Yes, Havening is safe and non-invasive. It's a gentle and effective technique that has been used to help people with a variety of conditions.
What conditions can be treated with Havening? Havening has been shown to be effective in treating a range of conditions including anxiety, phobias, attachment wounds, PTSD, chronic pain, and addiction.
What is the therapeutic process like with Havening? The therapeutic process with Havening involves touching palms, the face, and upper arms of the body, focusing very briefly on traumatic or negative events, and visualizing positive outcomes. Often, clients will experience a sense of relief or calmness after a Havening session.
How long does a Havening session usually last? Self-Havening sessions can bring relief or nervous system regulation in 5-7 minutes. A Havening session with a practitioner can last between 30 to 90 minutes depending on the client's needs, and goes much deeper than Self-Havening.
What are the benefits of Havening? The benefits of Havening include reduced anxiety, relief from chronic pain, improved mood and emotional wellbeing, and a greater sense of resilience and empowerment.
How many Havening sessions do I need to see results? The number of Havening sessions required will depend on the individual and the nature of their condition. Some clients may experience significant improvement after just one session, while others may require several sessions to see results.
What is self-havening and why self-havening? Self-havening is a technique where an individual can apply the Havening Touch on themselves without the need for another person. It involves stroking, arms, face or hands while focusing on a particular issue or negative emotion. Self Havening is often useful for those who are unable to access a havening practitioner or for those who want to continue their therapeutic process at home. It empowers individuals to take control of their emotional wellbeing and provides them with a tool they can use whenever they need.

RESILIENCE
Join Our Free Online Resilience Sessions
Our Nervous Systems love routine and consistency. What? You don't?
There's a part of me that doesn't either, and that's why we call this A "PRACTICE". This practice of self-havening for resilience is a part of my daily self care. And the cool thing about self-havening is that we can do it many places, and in different settings. We can use our palms to pet an animal or a soft fabric. We can rub our faces for a few moments. We can practice havening while walking, lying on the beach, before we eat, for examples. I think of this time as connecting with my Inner Goddess, some call it the still voice within, others call it spirit, authentic or true self, etc.
Denise Aubin and I invite you to join our FREE WEEKLY RESILIENCE SESSIONS that last from 15-20 minutes! We will self-haven together online. We often have an intention such as a word like gratitude. Or we may haven to a meditation. We practice iffirmations, loving kindness, music, mind distraction games, and more!
Humans are tribal. Community is a powerful way to heal, when we have boundaries and some guidelines. I am trained in holding a safe space, so come join us as we build resilience and you learn to self-haven between sessions. We have mirror neurons and co-regulate together. We don't heal in isolation. Please join us in building resilience resilience through this practice. Our resilience sessions are our free gift to you to bring in heal in community, have some fun, and make our selves and our world a better place. CONTACT

I live in the forest with my husband and 3 dogs. In my spare time I play flute in amateur chamber music ensembles, flute choirs and with my band - Philip Memes Well - where I jam to old rock and blues tunes. I see clients in person in my somatic sanctuary where I have 2 somatic swings and a Pilates reformer. I also love hanging out my hammock. May you be nourished by people, pets, nature, music, beauty, friends, and everything that feeds your sweet soul. I also write a Substack for our local community and self published "emergence"a book of doodles, created when I was at my lowest scariest time -- it's not for sale.
